Custom Field Not Showing in Opportunity Quick Create

Hello, I've created a numeric value Duration for my opportunities module. I've included it in all the layouts including quick create. It shows up in detail view, edit view, and list view but does not show up in the quick create view. How can I get the fileld to show in quick create?

Remember that in the studio you will note that there is a quick create layout as well! Make sure its over there as well. You may also need to add it to the metafile definitions for the quick create.
Usually the quick create has the priority fields only.

Thanks for the reply. You enabled me to do some sniffing around. Indeed, I did modify the QuickCreate layout for Opportunities using Studio and if I go take a peak into crm/custom/modules/Opportunities/metadata I do find a file called quickcreatedefs.php which indeed does contain the panel layouts as I have created them.

However, they don't ever seem to be invoked. If I go look at crm/modules/Opportunities/metadata I find that there is a file called sidecreateviewdefs.php and lo!, this is the actual layout that shows on the Opportunities screen. However, adding the fields I want into this file made no difference on the display.

So, while it appears that the Studio portion of Sugar is creating the layouts as I want them, they are not actually being used. I've looked at editviewdefs.php and quickcreatedefs.php in /crm/modules/Opportunities/metadata and unfortunately I do no understand the relationships.

Pointers as to which files to change to get my custom field on the Quick Create menu are greatly appreciated.
