Custom Field not showing up

Hi,

I am new to Sugar CRM. I am having problems displaying Custom Fields. I have logged in as an admin, gone to the Studio, Created the Custom field and then went to the Edit layout and dragged the field on to the screen, saved it, saved and published it. But I am not able to see that custom field appear on the screen when I go and see in the module that I have added the field to.

I have added the field for the Account modules section and my SugarCRM version is 4.5.1

Is there anything else that I need to do for the new custom field to show up to the user.

Hi!

You also have to add your custom fields to "detail view" screen.

As i remember here are few topics about this problem.

Yeah, I made sure that I have added them both on the Detail view and on the edit view as well. But still the custom field does not show up. By the way I am using the professional version of the software on a windows OS and SQL 2005 database.

With the help of the support staff from SugarCRM, I was able to fix the problem. The problem was the anonymous user windows account did not have write permssion on the SugarmCRM folder. Setting the write permissions on the folder and doing a Save and Pulibsh again solved the problem.

Also suggested that PHP must be running in a CGI mode on the IIS instead of the ISAPI mode.

Still have a problem, I am not able to see the custom field during an Edit or Creation. I am able to see the custom field only during the view mode. I made sure that I saved and published in both the Detail and the Edit Layouts. But no luck, Any ideas what I am missing
