Default custom field in one panel and not other

    Hi,

I created some custom fields for contacts and they appear OK. I imported external data and mapped to new fields OK. I view the new contacts and the new custom fields and any imported data is there. Now the problem . . . when I go to create new contaqct the custom fields are no where to be seen. I can go back to an existing contact and they are there. Why didn't the custom field come over and display when I went to creat new contact???

    What am I missing????

just uploaded and updated to the newest SP. system is on win2003 srvr machine with standard install pack (all items)

    Thanks in advance . . . .

Same thing is happening to me. I posted the same problem in a post previous to this one. Hopefully someone has a solution to this because it is extremely frustrating and relatively defeats the purpose of custom module setups.

    Any suggestions?

Should we submit a bug report?

Hi mboudro, were the custom fields applied to both the DetailView and EditViews?

Ok now I see it. So each time you customize a module you have to build it in both the detail and edit view? What confuses me is I never did anything in edit view before and it showed up previously. It stayed for a day or two and then disapeared.

Another question if I may, if a specific user customizes a module does it affect that module for all other users?

    Thanks for your help Andy.
