Custom field in Porject are not saved

Running Sugar community ver 5.0.0f

First problem:
I have added a couple of custom fields in the Projects module - added them in Edit and DetailView.
I can see the fields in Edit and I can put in data in these fields.
When saved the data the custom field data is not saved.
Is it a knowed problem - will it help to upgrade to later version?

Second problem:
I have same type of custom fileds in Opportunity module, one of the fields is a link to our document server, the defualt value in this field for this link is " http://sam/adms/what.php?" -working perfect in Opportunity module.
In Project module the default value is the same but it is shown in DetailView as " http://".
Why is the fields behave different in the different modules?

Hi patben65

Do the following:

1. Check if there are records into fields_meta_data table for each custom field in the Project module;
2. Check if the custom fields exist in the project_cstm
3. Check if the cache/modules/Project/Projectvardefs.php contain the custom fields.

Attach in your next post the content of the cache/modules/Project/Projectvardefs.php

Hi again and thanks for the help so far...

1, Yes in this table each custom field shows as a row in the table.
2, Yes, all except for one custom field shows as columns in the table. The custom fileds that is missing is the one that don't show the default value correct in editmode... (preeng_report_doc_c)
3, All fields seems to be in this file - see attached file:

Custome fileds are:
project_number_jeeves_c
preeng_date_c
system_type_c
com_date_c
preeng_report_doc_c

I were able to create this field in Studio and it had been added to project_cstm table.
Try to create it again in Studio.
