Custom Field Sort Question

Alright. I do know about sortable => true,

I have created a custom field that is a relate field. It is a second field that points to the users on the system. (We needed to be able to assign an opportunity to someone in house to take care of the opp, but we also needed to know who the original sales agent was at all times)

Anyway, when I set sortable to true, it doesn't really sort the field. I can click on it, but the names are not grouped together for some reason.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Hello Fred,

Is it possible that there are extra space characters in the field you are trying to sort by? Multiple spaces can often be hidden when being displayed in HTML, but will affect your sorting anyway. Maybe look for spaces at the end of the field? Just an idea.
