    Default Custom Fields - Display Label

    Since switching to 5.1.0beta1 I'm having a problem with the custom fields. I'm not too familiar with the database stuff, but I was able to do this before ugrading so I'm not sure if it has to do with that.

    If I create a new custom field, the "Display Label" continually reverts back to whatever is in the "System Label". I can edit the field and change the dispaly label to anything, hit save, and when I go back to look at it, its set back to exaclty what the system label is.

    The new fields don't seem to show up in the "Edit Labels" area but do show up in the Layout editor, the title being the System Label. I've tried all of the repairing in Repair section.

    Any Ideas? This is driving me nuts hehe. This is my first post so be gentle, thanks!

    Actually i fixed my issue by doing the old checking directory permissions.

    To change permissions on Linix installations, run the command chmod -R 777 on the following directories and files:

    * cache
    * custom
    * data
    * modules

    Hmm, we just tried that and it didn't seem to fix the problem =\

    What seems to be the issue, is the newly created Labels aren't showing up in the Label View. For instance, when you got to studio and click Accounts/Labels. Before the upgrade, new custom field labels would show up at the bottom of this long list. They don't appear to be showing up, which could be why the "Display Label" is not saving. I can add the field to all the layouts, and as far as I can tell, the field functions correctly. Albeit it has the "LBL_INTEREST" instead of "Interest:"

    Hmmm

    We just stumbled upon this in the sugar error log:

    Thu Jun 12 16:06:00 2008 [26364][3ab8d70c-0971-1059-82b0-484593716659][DEBUG] ParserLabel->addLabels(en_us, $labels, Accounts, custom/modulebuilder/packages/studio/modules/Accounts/language );

    (
    [VALUE] => Interest:
    [LBL_INTEREST] => Interest:
    )

    Any thoughts would be much appreciated
