custom fields and dropdowns do not show

Hi there guys,

First of all I´m a new user of sugar, and it looks like a great tool.

I am trying to customize it to our needs and add a few extra fields and dropdowns. I can create them, I can add them to the layout, but as I save they don´t show on the module I am editing.

I am using Version 4.5.1f (Build 1094)

Any tips? Am I missing any patch?

Probably a dumb question but did you hit Publish, not just save?
What are the read / write permissions for your server?

Thanks Joe, I just found out linux user did not have permission. Problem solved!

I have the same problem, though I am using the free trial now to test drive the system. Can you expand on your second question?

And yes, I did click on the save/publish button.
