custom fields into contacts search popup

Hello

how can i add some more fields into the contact search popup window and use them in search?
i've tried studio to add fields but for some odd reason, when i open the pop up window it doesn't show the new field and also it completely alters the previous layout and shows a totally different layout which is currently i see and i simple cannot revert it back to last layout. i've tried the [view history / restore] functionality in studio but to no avail. it simply doesn't do anything.

so, how can i fix it and how can i add a few more fields into the contact search popup window?

please help!!!

PS : i'm using Version 5.1.0c (Build 4979)

The search criteria are not exposed in the UI yet, you have to edit the indifidual popup_pickers.html files in the modules/<MODULE> directories.
