Custom Fields - labels STILL being stripped in 4.5G

Hi there...

Since the update to 4.5.0 there has been a bug in Studio where, if we want to make a custom field available in the listview of an Opportunity (and I presume, but haven't tested, other listviews), once the 'save and publish' button is pushed it strips the 'label' off the custom field. It still displays, for example, "Deal_type_c" (the name of the field, but not the label "Deal Type".

As a result, an Opportunity listview displays the error:

"Warning: Smarty error: sugar_translate: missing 'label' parameter in /home/firstfou/public_html/include/Smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1095" where the label should be displayed.

Everything else seems to work - the column is populated properly, from what I can tell so far.

I submitted this bug awhile back and was informed that it was fixed. Guess not. This is extremely frustrating because it really hinders our ability to use the custom fields we've set up. Would a hotfix be possible?

Linux / Mysql. Other than that, I don't know, someone else hosts it for me. 4.5.0 G OS is the system.

I've got the same problem, only in leads listview. Specifically in the field where the 'sort' arrow above the custom field 'website_c' exists. I assume it has something to do with the fact it is a custom field, but I don't know.

MAN WTF SUGAR Get off your a$$ and make an Update that fixes current bugs, NOT one that adds more features with more bugs....

I PROGRAM VB 3 through .NET, PHP/MYSQL, JAVA, and have a solid understanding of C and others but I Never seen so many updates that fix so little...

I have upgraded to 4.5.1E (latest) and this bug is still in there. When I add custom fields to the Opportunity listview through Studio it strips the label when I "save and publish", resulting in the above error message.

I think the changelog for 4.5.1 E claims that this error has been fixed...unless I'm reading it wrong - but it hasn't been.

I'm at work now (and therefore can only use IE here) but has anyone confirmed it's the same with all browsers? I had it previously and had to delete rows and and delete the custom fields concerned, and then complete define NEW custom fields... Does the Database show anything with regard to the column name??? Just trying to help Sugar along here ...

I use Firefox and can replicate this. I'm sure it's not a browser issue. I had seen a manual workaround on this forum somewhere in the past (can't find it now) that indicated how to manually edit one of the config files to add those labels back in after they've been stripped. I.e. add your custom fields to the list that you want, and then track down the config file and manually type them in. That should eliminate the error.

I just don't have access to the file to do it and wouldn't be sure where to look.
