Custom Fields Not Displaying / Label Renaming Not Working

Hello,

I have recently installed SugarCRM, open-source version 4.5.1e. I am running my own Apache 2.0 Server with PHP version 5.2.3 and MySQL 5.0.45 on a Windows XP System.

The problem I am encountering is when I use the Studio module and try to do some module editing, or custom field creating.

First, when I create an account custom field ans finish (clicking save as the final step), this custom field will not display in my account "detailed view" listing. Nor will this new field display when I manually click "create new account" as an option to fill out for the account creation. Furthermore, under the studio module, when listing all of my custom fields for the module I have selected, the correct labels no longer exist (they are the same as the field name that was used for the Database). If I click on the custom field name, both the Database name (understandable, as it is required to be the same name to function) and the label name are greyed out in the HTML form, forbidding me to edit them.

Next, when I attempt to rename a label (E.g: Date Created label) to something else, after clicking "save" the name of the label does not appear in the detailed account listing. However, when I go back into the listing of the labels for editing (in the studio), the name I have typed in to replace (date created) appears as if it is the current name.

Obviously, the database updates, inserts, etc. are not going through correctly.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I have been unable to find a patch or Hotfix for this issue.

You have to hit the save & publish button.
Save doesn't PUBLISH it.

Although I'm still having some minor issues, these are not stopping me from using the custom fields now.
