Exclamation Custom Fields Not Populating on Import

My system was working just fine until I rearranged the view of custom fields under accounts. Now when I Import my custom fields are not being populated, quite frustrating. I have cleared all cache, repaired everything including the DB. No luck. I'm hoping someone knows of a fix!

    Thank you in advance.

Make sure your fields are matched up correctly. Did you charge any names of the fields. On the import are you using a template from before if so reset and do NOT use the template likely you've lost the matches.

Push come to shove import to Leads and convert again if you have the custom fields in both and correctly named.

Do try to make sure all DB and cache are clear.

    Thanks Paris

Thumbs down Re: Custom Fields Not Populating on Import

Since the last time, I have upgraded to 5.0.0d and am seeing the same results. Out-of-box fields that I have renamed are populated as well as I currency type custom field, how ever the date and drop down fields do not populate. On my old 4.5 I had one date field populate until I rearranged the layout but even when I start from scratch there is a problem. I also plan to offer a hosted sugar instance and this obviously would not be viable until I can resolve this error. Can anyone verify this bug on their installation even ??

    Thank you all.

Try upgrading to 500e. We fixed several issues that resulted from the rearranging of columns in the listviews.

I see a difference between vd and ve being that on import confirmation the accounts were not listing (on d). How ever, date fields are still not populating. I first tested on a local test server and when that failed to work I went live. The software on the 2 servers are slightly different but the same error persists. Software compatibility should not be an issue as I have experienced this since 4.5d.
Can anyone verify this problem on their installation? Perhaps I am not alone.

Thank you for your continued support.

Exclamation Re: Custom Fields Not Populating on Import

I have done some additional testing on this and am still inconclusive.

I have tried reformatting the date structure in the csv from 5/5/2008 to 05/05/2008 how ever it seems even when choosing "custom" from the format option in excel CSV does not keep the date structure as 05/05/2008, rather just 5/5/2008. This was not a problem with a working version of 4.5. I then tried TAB delimited file and managed to format date as 05/05/2008, still did not work. I then tried the import using the Opportunities module instead of Accounts. Nothing. The main idea was that out of box fields were always populating but not even the Expected Close Date* included field was populating either!

I think this matter could use some serious attention as it almost renders my uses of this software, useless. I would be willing to pay some one at this point to look into/fix this, which is saying alot heh...
Keep in mind these tests have been done on 2 different servers with similar but slightly different software and versions of Sugar ( 4.5d, 5.1d, 5.1e)
