I have a serious problem. I can't get any custom fields to save in either the leads or contacts module. I added about 140 fields on Friday. When I deployed the layouts with these fields in them, our instance lost it's ability to save data in ANY and ALL custom fields within the module. I understand that I had too many fields for one module, approx 400. The support person with sugar said that the database wasn't able to handle that many fields and that it was only responding up to field 298. I have since reduced my number of fields to 275 and still am not able to save any custom data.
Any help? Is there anything that I would have to do to have the database recognize that those fields have been deleted?
FYI: the number of fields that I have now is less than the number of fields that i had when the instance was confirmed to be working.
