Custom Fields Problem in Accounts

Hello,

I am trying to add several custom fields in my Accounts section. I added 10 checkboxes for each view (detail, edit, search, etc). Now the problem is that after i add all 10 and press Save & Publish (or just save), once the page reloads some of the checkboxes automatically change location and some duplicate which removes some from the form. It is very annoying and I cannot seem to find a solution to this. I need these checkboxes for my accounts to specifiy which services they provide. I was going to use a drop down list but some companies might offer multiple services and using the checkboxes seems to make the most sense, especially for searching purposes.

I would greatly appreciate a method to either fix this problem, or a good alternative.

I am running SugarCRM on a windows machine using Server Edition 2003. I used the auto stack installer to set up the system.

UPDATE: The same thing seems to be happening when using dropdown lists instead of checkboxes. I just tried adding two custom dropdowns and after i saved it, it duplicated one of them.

Any ideas??

Please search in this forum and you'll find that this is a bug related to the insertion of html code. For most people it seems to work if they add one line at a time and then save rather than doing all at once.

I tried searching but wasn't quite sure what to search for exactly..

Anyway. I tried what you suggested and it worked until I got to my 4th entry. Then after saving, the 4th custom field was duplicated.

Do you know of any other solutions off hand?

I tried it again, but this time doing it row by row and saving in between. Seems to work..

Thanks for reporting this issue. It is fixed in the up-coming 4.5.1 release. It is in final testing and should be ready within a week.

I couldn't find a bug report on this, so I entered bug 11168 for tracking purpose. If you already entered a bug for this, please leave a reference here so I can mark as duplicate.

The quoted link from Lori doesn't work. Is this a solutoin for the 4.5.0x version?

The quick work-around until 4.5.1 comes out for me was to add one more row than needed and put the field you want to have in the last row on the right into this additional excess row on the left.
Then save and publish and the last field at the bottom left will be duplicated in the second last field on the right alas where you need it.
Then delete the last row. This worked for me at least.

field3 field4
field5 field6(your last needed field)
field6 this is an excess row.
