Default Custom fields show up in "view" but not "edit" mode

I've added a custom (integer) field for the "Accounts" module. This seems to work as expected. Then visited the layout manager and added the custom field to the "accounts" module. Saved and published.

When I "view" an account, the new custom field shows up fine. When I click "edit", the custom field is replaced by the original (default) account fields. I've tried removing other fields and observed the same effect. Basically it seems the code for the "edit" mode does not see the updated layout.

    Running v4.5, PHP 4.4.2, MySQL 5.0, Apache/2.0.54 (Unix)

    Hi

There are many bug fixes coming along with patch g to be released today. I would try this new patch before investing time in any further investigations.

    Cheers

    Hi tdeaderick,

What exactly have you done? You have created a custom field. Now what did you do after that? The field needs to be added to both Edit and Detail View separately. I guess that after creating the field, you would have clicked Edit Layout and then dragged and dropped the field in whatever was visible. If you have done this, then this was incomplete. You have added the field only to the Detail View. Now, again go to Admin -> Studio -> Edit a Module -> Accounts -> Edit Layout. Now click on Edit View and again drag and drop the field. Click Save and Publish.

Hope this helps. If you have done everything correctly and you are still getting the problem, I will suggest you to post a screen shot of your Edit View and Detail View in Studio.
