Custom lead field - show in opportunity - how?

Our sales department wants a custom field (2 actually) added to Leads, and they want the data there to show in the associated account. Despite vast puzzling I haven't figured out how to do this, but I'm sure it can be done.
Thoughts from the experts?

Hi - I just saw this in another thread. I was able to get a custom Lead field to copy to an Account by making sure the field name & type was the same.

I also need to do this for Opportunities, though, and I'm stuck on this one.

Any ideas?

Whoops - bad test. It looks to be working ok now.
