Custom Lists - Duplicated in language file each save

Hello,

I am looking into custom lists (i.e. Dropdown Editor).

The lists appear to be saved in the language file (custom\include\language\...)

Each time I modify a list it is appended to this file at the end. The previous copy remains. This appears to occur continually.

Is there a way to clean this through the system or if I wish to remove duplicates does this have to be done by hand?

If there is no automation currently does anyone know if there are any plans to remove this redundant and obsolete data from the language file automatically in the future?

Sorry I should have mentioned that in my original post.

I am using version 5.2.0a

I was previously using version 4.5.1e. This replication in the language file is not new. It existed previously and is maintained in the current version.
