Custom Module Won't Export

I have a custom module titled "Account Manager" with 1-M relationships to accounts and opportunities. The field is visible in all views, and allows me to select an option from Edit view, but the data does not appear when I export.

All fields in the custom module are importable.

Any clues on how to make these fields importable?

What is happening is that the selection field for the custom module is not appearing on any exported CSV when I export a related module, but it does appear within the program on-screen.

I'll try to provide a little clarity on this, since my original post seemed to cause some confusion.

My custom module (titled "Account Manager") is successfully deployed, and has 1:M relationships set up with Accounts and Opportunities.

The module seems to be working correctly, as the selection field in any related module functions as it should, and displays the correct data on screen.

The problem comes in to play when I attempt to export/import either opportunities or accounts. When I export an opportunity (or account), the related field from Account Manager does not show up anywhere on the exported CSV file. All of the other exported data is correct.

Version: Sugar Professional v5.5, hosted.

Response from Sugar is that it's a known bug (I can look the number up if you want). No set timetable for resolution.

I just heard back from one of my sugarcrm admins. Apparently he is was able to go around the issue using Microsoft access to do his exporting. Here is the email he sent me regarding this, i hope this helps someone in some way:

"Sometime after creating the custom Orders module (table is called “po_detail”), we change the relationship of that module to the Accounts module using the admin panel. When we made that change, Sugar created a relationship table called “accounts_po_detail_c”. Using my ODBC connection via Microsoft Access I was able to use the “accounts_po_detail_c” table to marry or join my “accounts” and “po_detail” tables.

The problem still happens using the export feature in Sugar, however, my reporting through the ODBC connection in Microsoft Access was fixed by using the “accounts_po_detail_c” table to create my relationship joins."

feel free to use our Reporter ... that will also allow you to link all kinds of modules and freely export. No access or other tools needed.

Hi ,

I have custom module made for persons, where I have my some custom fields that i enter.

But when I am exporting the records I get all the fields including the system ones as well.

I need to limit the number of fields to be exported, can you please let me know of the file or function to modify my custom module.
