Custom Radio Fields disappeared from Mass Update after upgrade

After my upgrade from 5.2.0j to 5.5.0 my custom fields marked for Mass Update no longer appear in the Mass Update panel at the bottom of my Contacts module.

I have 9 fields (all Radio) that are affected. I can check/uncheck the Mass Update box on 8 of the fields, save, then go back in and the current state (checked or unchecked) is kept. 1 of the fields will not change from checked to unchecked. I uncheck the box, save the field and go back in and the box is still checked next to Mass Update. I'm not sure if this has something to do with the problem.

The problem appears to be with Radio fields only. I can create other custom fields in both Contacts and Accounts (Date, Multi-select, etc) and they appear in Mass Update. Only Radio fields will not appear in both the Mass Update panel of both Contacts and Accounts.

I've tried the following with no success:
-Quick Repair and Rebuild
-Rebuid Database
-Unchecking Mass Update box on custom field, saving, then rechecking.
-Created a new Radio field and checked it for Mass Update, doesn't appear.

Additional research shows I had this issue late last year and bug 33828 was opened on it.

The report shows a status of CLOSED so I would assume this was fixed in the latest version but the change made by user andopes is not present in the current MassUpdate.php file in the 5.5 release. After making the proposed changes, again, the problem was corrected.
