    Default Customising Views

I am trying to customise CONTACTS to fit my organisations schema for exactly what they want the database to hold.
After working through the Studio to create this custom view which works well for all existing contacts,
If my users click on the "create contact shortcut",
it completely ignores my new custom view and presents them with the default view for entering their contact information.

However after the record has been entered selecting it gives my custom view, but editing it gives the default view.
Can anyone let me know how to fix this.
    cheers

    hi zen063,
maybe this would not help , but first i will remind you to check again are you change all views .
If you do this through studio you will see in studio\ editmodules that you have to customize editview layout, detailview layout and layout for searchview,
you must edit editview also, and when ever you make a change use "save&publish"
I presume that you change and put your new fields only to detailview layout ,but you need to do that ,as i sad , in editview layout to.
    feel free to contact ,

    good luck
