    Default Customization Problems

    Hello,

I have been adding custom fields (specifically, currency, drop down, and relate fields) the modules that came with the purchase of the CRM, and for some reason I have been experiencing problems with t he new fields. Users enter information accordingly into the fields, but upon hitting save, the fields all appear blank in the detail view. Maybe I am missing a step, but it seems as though the more I add to the CRM to increase functionality for our firm, the more bugs are created as well. Is there anything I can do to prevent these things from happening? I continuously repair and rebuild...

Are you clicking save and publish? ... if you do not publish they are never put to the users area. Save only saves it for more modifications later before you publish it.

I am adding custom fields to the opportunities module and I do not see where it gives me the option to publish. I do know that it gives me the option to publish a new module... is that what you are referring to? Also, my users can see and enter information into the fields I have created, but upon hitting save, none of th information shows on the detail page, nor are they able to see it upon hitting edit...

    Thanks!

I'm having this same issue...I created several custom currency fields in Opportunities, and the data doesn't save to Detail View. Also, when you hit edit, the currency values don't appear. Can someone help with this issue??

    Hi
See if the permission of the files of the module in use are CHMOD 766 or 777.

If you add any number fields you should always have a default value set.
Just set the loglevel to debug and you will see the wrong mySQL commands in logfile.
