Customized Account Info Not Showing Up

So I made a customized account form, and it looks fine when you're inputting the information. But when I'm looking at an account itself all the default fields are still showing up despite the fact that there is no longer anyway to input some of the fields. Is there anyway to fix this?

It kind of sounds like you modified the EditView form, but not the DetailView form. They different views work independent of each other from a customization stand point. A change in one doesn't carry to the other and vice-versa.

Which is btw very high on my wish list. It would be MUCH easier just to remove the fields one doesn't need in the detail view rather than doing the whole thing from scratch.
