I have a dashboard based on a report and the total does not match the sum of the data.
If I edit the dashboard, bringing up the report writer, the heading on the report graph is correct.
Any ideas why?

We have exactly the same problem. We are using Sugar Professional 4.2.1 with Apache 2.0.52, MySQL 4.1.20, and PHP 4.3.9.
We have a report counting the number of open cases by assigned user name. On the dashboard the total is higher than in the report writer. If we click on the edit button, the report writer shows the correct number.![]()

We are using 4.5.0c and it works correct. E.g. graph with count of contacts by postal code, count of customers by assigned user ...
I'v just added new entries, changed existing entries and the corresponding graph on the Dashboard were updated and showed the correct total value.
Are you logged in as admin or normal user? Could access restrictions for some of the data be a problem?

I think bug #9262 corresponds to your problem...?
