Dashlet error handling this request

When editing a dashlet (clicking on the pencil, nothing more esoteric), my clients' browser throws an error message saying:

"There was an error handling this request".

It's a client side issue .... it happens both on Firefox and IE. All other client p;latforms (Linux and Windows) work as expected ....

Any ideas what this could be .... the only relatively obvious culprit could be Norton ... the Firewall (Windows) behaves as expected .... both browser have the flash plugins.

just a hint for a start,without that it is impossible to answer,
check your URL ,in status line.
Before click ,see what shows up i n status line,than if you don't solve this sand us here URL, and we can try to help

I´m using Sugar CE 5.2...

I also have this problem when I click the "pencil" to edit a dashlet... also, it´s not possible to add new dashlets... msg: Loading .... but no answer.

Please help us to solve it.

Reinstalled... the only way I found... it´s working now.

Hello!

I got rid of this error by implementing the suggested solution:

After updating include/generic/SugarWidgets/SugarWidgetFieldvarchar.php the dashlets loaded successfully.
