Our organization has several different types of users who access and modify records.
Lead generators: generally cold call into prospect accounts, qualify them, and, if they are successful, set up appointments for sales people
Marketing support: research accounts and contacts and update information
Sales people: Do little data management; mainly work with activities and opportunities related to accounts and contacts
Because the majority of data entry is coming from lead generators and marketing support, our sales people would like to have some mechanism to view recent updates to their accounts and contacts, preferably either through a dashlet on their home or though a separate tab. For example, it would show them that information for Contact A had been updated, or that Contact B was added to Account X.
I know that as a user, when I make changes, I get recently viewed and modified records displayed at the top of the screen. But this function would let me view changes made by anyone to records assigned to me.
Is there such functionality readily available? We'd prefer not to create custom module(s).
