data in list view and database not matching

hi, i am running into a problem where the data in list view and database view are not matching...when i change the record in edit view and save it, it reflects in list view but the data in the database remains unchanged.. this is causing the data to be un-sync.
please let me know if someone is experiencing the same...thks..

May be your are checking in the wrong database or table
