I'm not the most technologically advanced guy on the planet, and I'm a little stumped as to the best way to go about doing what I need to do here.
The problem:
I currently have SugarCRM (open source) installed with a stack install on my desktop PC. I do not have my database hosted online in any fashion. I have just purchased a MacBook Pro and am in the process of moving everything over to my new machine.
What I want:
I want to install SugarCRM (open source) on my new MacBook Pro. I also want to take all of the data currently loaded into Sugar on my PC and move it onto the Mac. Manually re-entering my client database would shut my business down for a couple of days -- is there a way to just repopulate a new install with the data I have on my PC?
Concerns
When I installed SugarCRM on my PC, I used the stack installer. To operate the CRM, I run the included Apache server then point my browser at 127.0.0.1. Is this the same way it works on the Mac? I've heard that I might need to install MAMP, but I wanted to double-check.
Thanks, guys. I know I'm probably asking some pretty naive, basic questions, but I really appreciate your time and help.
