Data won't save in Custom Fields

I have created a few custom fields on the Account Module and the Contacts Module. I attempted to import data into the Accounts Module, and when I went to check out the records I noticed that no data loaded to the fields I created, but it did to the others. I thought it was an import problem, so attempted to manually enter the data, and then save. I entered the data, saved and then went back into the edit window on that same record.... the information I just entered in the custom fields was no longer there!

I thought maybe it was a problem with the way I had created the fields in Studio. I did a test and used an existing field to clone. I had the same results! The entered data will not save.

For basic field creation, shouldn't I be able to do this through Studio? Is there something I need to do after the creating the fields in Studio to make them 'useable'?

Shit happens.... I had this problem already in 4.5.1e.
The fact is that sometimes the custom fields are not generated in the database.
It happened very often with decimal fields of precision 2 (in database: float).
Even the function "admin" - "repair" - "repair database" could not repair it.
So the only possibility was to create these fields in *_cstm tables by hand.

Check your database for the generated custom fields.
