Hi,
I am attempting to install Sugarcrm Open Source under OS X 10.4, over a functional MAMP 1.3.1 installation (Apache 2.0.55, MySQL 5.0.19, PHP 5.1.4). I dowloaded and unzipped the SugarSuite-4.2.1c.zip file into the appropriate directory. When I launch my browser on :
http://localhost:8888/sugarSuite/install.php
the installation procedure starts OK.
My database settings are as follows :
Database Settings
Host Name localhost
Database Name sugarcrm (will be created)
Database Username user (will be created)
Drop and recreate existing Sugar tables? No
Populate database with demo data? Yes
Privileged Database User Name user
Site Configuration
URL of Sugar Instance http://localhost:8888/sugarSuite
Enable Sugar Updates
Sugar updates enabled? No
Advanced Site Security
Use a Custom Session Directory for Sugar? No
Use a Custom Log Directory for Sugar? No
Own Application ID Provided? No
Now, when I reach step 6, I get the following message and the installation stops :
Creating Sugar configuration file (config.php)
Creating the database sugarcrm on localhost...done
Creating the db username and password...done
Unable to select database: Access denied for user ''@'localhost' to database 'sugarcrm'
Any idea what I do wrong ?
Thanks for your help,
Edward
