I have been using sugar for a long time now and I have quite a large database. Each year about 50 - 60 new custom fields get added to the accounts module (they usually replace the prior years contracts) and until recently I have had no issues. I am running v.4.5e and mysql 5 and here is what happens. When I add a custom field it seems to work perfectly, however when I am done placing it in its place (I add it to detail, edit and search views) nothing saves. I can edit any field custom or standard in any account (there are over 20,000) and nothing is saved. I have tried everything once it is not working I can do nothing, I have always hosted the application at a host that does not give me shell access so I have even moved the site to a local machine to try and hack up the database to see if I could uncover the issue (I am not much of a DBA it has been friends and google that have helped me do the hacking) I constantly need to add these custom fields and need some help with this. I also have an issue that I cannot upgrade the app any more and my host assures me that nothing has changed, yet it seems to be a permissions issue.
