Hi,
I am experienceing some trouble with dates in SugarCRM.
I am using Sugar Professional version 6.1.3. I am located in Sydnay Australia. In my user settings my time zone is set as Australia/Sydney(GMT+10)(+DST).
The problem I'm having is with date fields in a module:
* Date fields with default dates are out compared to the actual date. They seem to be out by 1 day. e.g. a datefield with default value today is showing 20/3/2011 when the actual date here is 21/3/2011. Similar problem with default values of tomorrow and yesterday. I am guessing that the problem is that the default values are being determined by the server time, which is likely some US time, and not being set based upon my local time zone setting.
* The popup date picker however shows today as being one day ahead. i.e. if today is 21/3/2011 it has 22/3 highlighted as being today.
These two issues mean that for a date field that has default setting of today, when I go to create a new entry in a module and say the actual date Sydney time is 21/3/2011, the value it shows is 20/3/2011 and when you click on the popup date picker 22/3 is highlighted as today.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Why the discrepancy? Why is my local time zone setting being ignored?
Thanks.
