Date Search doesn't work

Hi all,
I want to search accounts by date, so I insert in account's base search form the field date entered (date created) but when I perfom a research it finds 0 accounts.
In my locale settings I set date format: dd/mm/yyyy
The only way to make this search is to set my locale settings to yyyy-mm-dd, that is the same as the datetime format in mysql db.
Looking into include/SearchForm/Searchform.php I found a function that should convert db_time to app_time anda viceversa, but it seems not to work.
Please please please somebody tell me why this date search doesn't work and what can I do to make it work.

Did you use the free version, or the paid version? There doesn't seem to be a change in the free version.
