    Default Default Check in the Reminder Box

    Anyone know how to set the reminder checkbox in Meetings (and Calls) to be checked by default?

    Click the "My Account" link at the top to access your preferences and then enable the "Display Reminder" option.

    I have that checked and it enables a reminder popup --- but I want each and every scheduled call and scheduled meeting to have a reminder by default - without the user having to check the reminder box.

    Any ideas on that?

    On my system, when I enable the option, the reminder checkbox is checked by default -- with the specified lead time preselected -- whenever I schedule a new meeting or call.

    Perhaps I am misunderstanding your goal, but was that not what you wanted to accomplish?

    If it is not behaving that way, then something else is going on.

    Pretty strange.

    Is the same true for all users? Try the admin user.

    Also, please provide some further specifics about your environment. i.e. Exact version of Sugar, database type, etc.

    I have more details:

    Reminder option is unchecked by default even though in 'My Account' for the user the display reminder box is checked
    Happens for Admin and all other Users
    Only happens in regards to Meetings - when I create a new Call the reminder box for newly created call IS checked by default

    I am running SugarCRM Version 4.5.1b (Build 1246), with php 5.2, MySQL 5.0.20 on a hosted apache server. I haven't upgraded SugarCRM because I have a lot of customization that probably isn't upgrade safe.

    One other note - I have another instance of SugarCRM (same config as above) installed that I use to experiment with and the Meeting box does default with a check there - it seems to function correctly. Is there anyway I can copy over the meeting files for that version since they are working? I can then *carefully* re-customize.

    I am desperate to get this issue corrected and am grateful for any comments, suggestions or advice.

    You could try copying the <sugar root>/modules/Meetings folder over to your production system, then manually merging in your customizations.

    Before you do that, you may want to start off by only copying Meetings.php and EditView.php from the <sugar root>/modules/Meetings/ folder in the working install and then applying your customizations. It may be a matter of just the edit view files not functioning correctly.
