Default dates on import not working

Hi, I set a default empty value to some custom dates on my Contacts module; Using edit and add, the default date (or lack thereof) work as expected, however those default values get ignored on import. Any ideas on how to enforce that?

This is a Linux-based Mysql 6.1 Sugar Community Install.

Any help with this? How can I avoid that behavior? I tried adding all the dates on the import field as empty values but still got overridden,

I can't believe that I'm the only one using custom date fields and suffering when importing them.
