Delete e-mail, does it remove from cases?

Hi!

Sugar OS 4.5.1 on Linux here. We use Cases extensively and attach e-mails to them. My question is, if I delete e-mails in the EMAIL module, will it also delete the e-mails that are attached in Cases?

Not sure but I think yes.

I have observed that if you attach an email with a case/lead/opportunity etc. and try accessing it from the case/lead/opportunity module, it takes you back to the email module and display the email there.

Deleting it from the emails should delete it from all other associated records also.

Hi,

I also did some testing and I, too, find that if you delete the e-mail it removes it from the Case history.

There is a button for Archive E-mail, but that doesn't seem to relate to this issue.

Can anyone shed some like on how this should work? I have over 1000 messages in my SugarCRM EMAIL inbox and would love to clear them out.....but can't afford to lose all that history.

The button "Archive Email" will remove the email from the Inbox and store it in the folder "My Archives" .

I think this should help you clear your Inbox. Any important email; just archive it, else delete it.
