delete employee

Hi,
i'm new and have 2 questions.
1. Why is it not possible to delete employees?
2. When i fill the form for a new employee it's not possible to choose skype as IM (instant messenger). Is it possible for me to customize this or could the admin add skype into this combo box?

Hello Rainer,

1. You cannot delete employees from the user interface. The notion behind this is that if there are records that are assigned to this user, were created or modified by a user, then you do not lose this history. You can change the status of the user to inactive and they will no longer be able to log in.

If you really do need to delete the user, then you will need to do so in the database.

2. You can add skype to the dropdown options. Go to the dropdown editor (in the admin area). Find the dropdown called 'messenger_type_dom'. You can then modify the options
