Default Delete / Import Email Hangs / Reports 'Internal Server Error'

    Hi,
I'm new to Sugar and have installed the latest stack (MySQL) onto my W2K machine. I've updated Sugar to the latest patch available but pretty much everything is right out of the box configuration-wise. Sugar in general seems to be running perfectly. I can add tasks, manipulate calendar etc.

I have configured a single email account under my normal ID (not Admin) since it's just me using it, and hooked that up to my POP3 email account.

My email is downloaded fine and seems to be copied from the server as I can still see the emails on the ISP's machine if I log-in via their web-interface. I can browse the downloaded mail in Sugar in my 'INBOX' without a problem and sending email from Sugar seems to work fine.

Whenever I try to delete/import/move the email from the 'INBOX' folder the 'One Moment Please' popup comes up and sits there for probably three minutes and eventually results in a 'Exception Occurred, Internal Server Error' message. If I kill the browser tab while the 'One Moment Please' message is up, I can't login on another tab until something times out. Not sure if this is related or not.

    Help, please

Sugar Version 5.2.0c, Windows 2003 server.
We have the same problem. We cannot delete an email from a pop3 account nor import.

We need email to work fine. Any idea?

    Thank you.

Hi there, sorry, no I never had any success and eventually gave up.

A friend set me up with a temporary IMAP account on his Linux box, and that worked fine. From what I remember, I think the POP3 set-up on his Linux box also worked OK, but I'm not sure, it was a while ago.

I know for a fact that the POP3 box I was having problems with was on a Windows server, so that might have something to do with it.

To be truthful, I was a bit irritated that all the Sugar documents just kept saying 'If you're having problems, use IMAP'. That's fine if you can get your ISP to configure an IMAP mailbox for you, but it leaves you pretty screwed if you can't.

So, like I said, I narrowed it down to it not being my configuration and something 'server side' an I then gave up.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. If you figure it out, please let me know - I'd love to know what needs to be done

    Take care,
