Deleting users

Why can't I delete users? That seems weird...

The main reason is that every piece of data in the system is at one point or another assigned to a user.

If one deletes a user without first reassigned records that user owns to a different user, you could cause a number of issues within the system.

The obvious question is: well, why not simply compensate for that when the user is deleted?

Certainly possible, but it would require some work from Sugar to provide the appropriate admin tools to efficiently update records in all modules, especially for large data sets. Personally, this investment in development resources would seem to provide a lot less bang for the buck than focusing on other topics such as improving the calendar.
