Hello Sugar experts!

What is the difference between a User and an employee? From the manual I did not catch it fully. I just understood that each user has employee record and that employees cannot create users. But what is the deeper sense in that?

I manage a non-profit organization. To mirror the question:

Active members of my organization could be users that can create employees that would in this case reflect active members of the organization without (real-world) administration privileges?

BTW: I did not know difference between users and employees and did create some main users as employees first, how can I completely delete them from the database? No records assigned, so I don't expect problems..
