Default different speed with same installation

    Hello everybody,

we are trying to use SugarCRM since a couple of weeks, and I like it very much, but my collegue, who is responsible for customer relationship and needs it most of the time, has big problems: it is very slow, most of the time he waits nearly a minute or more until a page opens. And he tried differend browsers, with no change.
We are on the same network, have a similar computer (win7) with similar hardware - and I do not know where the difference comes from. Has anyone an idea where I can start to look?

Thank you very much in advance, I am glad I found this forum

    Hello,

Please check if "Developer Mode" checkbox is unchecked in admin panel (Administration » System Settings).
The best way for SugarCRM is using Linux Operation System.

    Cheers

    Some possibilities:
    FIrewall and antivirus.

But you can increase the SugarCRM performance by customizing the server configuration:

    php.ini
    increase the memory limit, 512M

    my.cfn
    [mysqld]
    set-variable = key_buffer=312M
    set-variable = max_connections=10000
    set-variable = table_cache=20000

    [isamchk]
    set-variable = key_buffer=64M

You can find other threads and wiki pages discussing how to increase performance.

This box is unchecked. Is this good or bad?

Unfortunately not all of us have the freedom to use what they desire.

    Dear André,

thank you very much for your help!
First I increased the memory limit to 512M and then I started to search for the second file.
Before I realised that it actually has to be my.cnf (not cfn) my collegue told me that it is now better to work for him. I still do not understand why (we have the same hardware, the same programs, ...) but it works, and we are happy.

    Regards,
    Angelika
