Hi,
After upgrading to 5.2 I can no longer see the logs in sugarcrm.log file.
I have edited the log4php.properties file and restarted Apache server, no results.
The sugarcrm.log file is writable and owned by apache user.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

it works.
you can set the log level at admin=> System Settings
There is a "Logger Settings"
you config it here.
Something is wrong...
I try to change the log level from Admin -> System Settings -> Logger Settings -- here I set it to Info, for example, and save. However, if I reopen this page later, it still shows Debug all the time.
Actually, the Log Settings always display what is set in the log4php.properties file (where I set it to be Debug).
And the sugarcrm.log file is empty, the permissions on this file are 775 and file ownership is apache:apache
Is it possible that after running the silent upgrade script as root I need to set some permissions for apache user to be able to do something?
Could you please explain what needs to be done once you change the log level in log4php.properties ? Is it enough just to restart the Apache server?
Thanks!
Hi again,
Finally, I was able to get the logs generated, but only by editing the log4php.properties file and restarting the Apache server.
But, it is not working from the Admin -> System Settings -> Logger Settings, if I try to save any changes from the page, the page hangs forever and I have to restart the server.
Thanks!
