Hi

I have a account,, named CompanyA. To the company I have added two contacts, personA and personB.

Adding a Note/Attachement or Call to personA or personB will make those show in the history panel for respectve contact.

If you look at the history panel for companyA the Note/Attachement and Call will also show up.

Now,, from the contacts module create and send a mail to, for example, person A. This mail will show on the history panel for personA but not on the history for the companyA.

Am I wrong to assume that the mail also should have been visible on the companyA history panel?

You're right Lassel but it doesn't work like this.
Once you have sent your email to a contact, you have to link it manually to the account (Edit, link to Account, choose the Account)
Do not ask me why ;-)

Hmmmm .... a lot of extra work,,, and if you forget to make the link.......
Hope next version will change this,,, they are saying that they are focusing on usability... this is usability.

From my point of view and what I've been testing on Sugar6 (Beta 1), this has not been improved the way you want.

I haven't analyse more and gone through hours of test but it also seems that a sent mail is not editable anymore : once it is linked to a contact, it can be also linked to an account.

This can easily be added with a logic hook, or workflow to say that when an Email arrives for a Contact relate to the Contacts Accounts.
