Drop Down list vanished !!

Is there such a possibility that one of the dropdown list [not field] vanishes overnight??? This is scary as the drop down list took away data with it

I have something like this on the edit view and the dropdown disappeared from dropdown editor....

Did anything changed in the server configuration?

Did any new modules or language packs installed recently?

Please post your sugar,php & apache versions.

It seems that you have problem with lang files.
Is this dropdown list default sugar's?

Thats true... i have a BIG problem with the language files...

Any modification to custom/Extension/Modules/Contacts/Ext/Language is ignored and then i have to make changes to Modules/Contacts/language/en_us.php file {this is not safe method i believe}.... This is true for any new relationship i build with contacts.... or any other field whose label needs to be changed through language files... I have tried clearing cache... repair/rebuild...no change...

You think this could cause a drop down list to vanish too?? What shd i do?
This was a custom dropdown list. My sugar versions :

Version 5.2.0c (Build 5505)
Apache/PHP : Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) PHP/5.2.6-1+lenny2 with Suhosin-Patch mod_python/3.3.1 Python/2.5.2 mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.0

After adding something into folders "Ext" you should run
Admin->Repair->Rebuild Extentsions

Check the file custom/include/language/en_us.lang.php. And make sure everything is normal.
