Dropdown list not working with detaild view

hi,

my configuration:
mysql 5.0
windows server sbs 2003
apache 2.2
sugar CE 5.2.0 with latest patch

i have a problem. i had a instalation of sugar ce 5.0 in witch i had some drop down list that were added to several places, for example detaild search in cases.

For example we record all cases that clients report. and we have several departments in our company. what i need to do is add in detaild search the option of search all cases by department.

i already created the dropdown list and add it in admin ->studio to the place where i want it. but now the search doesn´t work. simple search yes but detaild serach dont....



what did i miss... do i have to edit some php...

please help.

i was doing some digging and also the list view layout is not updated...
