Dumb Question! Where do I find directory files?

I am totally new to Sugar and not a programmer (obviously).

I am spending the weekend working on customization, but I really need to know where to find the Custom Directory. As you can see, I'm not a developer... Just trying to find the actual code so I can follow some of the advice on these forums.

Can anyone direct me to the right place?

I'm using OnDemand Pro.

Hello,
it is just inside SugarCRM root directory and created if you did any customization from studio.

It would really depend on where you installed your htdocs directory. If its Windows then it is probably C:\inetpub\wwwroot if it is linux then maybe var/www/htdocs.

From there you would just look for the SugarCRM directory and the custom folder should be there.

For future reference for other non-programmers like me:
I am using Mac OS 10.6.7 and did a search for htdocs. It showed up in the following location:
Applications > sugarcrm-6.1.4 > htdocs > sugarcrm > custom

I am too nervous to do anything to it as of yet, but now I know where it is and can reference the correct files when I see solutions posted on the forum.
