Under # 7-c of his handy HOW-TO guide for Email Campaigns, Ajay says

"c. if the target has an invalid email address a campaign log entry is created and item is deleted from the queue."

Okay... That's nice. The item is deleted from the queue. WHO CARES! If the address is invalid, I want to know about it! I want the record updated to indicate that the address of record is in fact INVALID, so the user may either update the address, or delete the record. Otherwise, what is the point of having an invalid email field????

I finally sent a succesfull first email campaign. Out of 500 sent, I recieved failure notice from my host's
MAILER-DAEMON@clients5.estreet.com for 147 of them. This I expected, but I also expected the wherewithall to readilly identify the contacts whose email addresses were no longer active and so either update or delete those contacts.

If this isn't the definition of Invalid Email I'll be a monkey's uncle! Has anyone else encountered this?
Is there any known means of identifying and updateing the contact records of the intended recipients, short of opening each failed email, and then opening each cotact's DetailView, clicking the Edit button to then open the contact's EditView and then manually updating the record?? Arrggg!
