Hi,
I have my sugarcrm hosted on a shared hosted solution and am having a lot of trouble getting my outbound e-mail to work. Normally when I have a problem, I use my Gmail account to send and that sorts out the problem until I can find the appropriate SMTP server settings.
In this case however, not even the gmail option wants to work.
My problem is that I cannot see what the problem is. I would like to get to the bottom of this but because it is a shared host, I cannot see the error logs.I get this error when creating a user:
System is unable to process your request. Please check:
-SMTP Server URL and Port
-SMTP Username and SMTP Password
-Recipient Email Address
-Your server status
I use the same gmail setup that I use on another shared host and that works fine.
My shared host has previously told me that the FSOCKOPEN module is not supported by the server as it is not secure. Could this be the reason that e-mail is failing and I cannot connect to any smtp servers?
Is there any debugging that I can do to see where the process falls flat?
I am using SugarCE version 6.1.2
Many thanks
