    Default E-Mail Problems

    Hello,

We are new with SugarCRM professional 6.1.

We are having problems with our workflows sending e-mails to multiple recipients. When sending e-mails to multiple recipients it sometimes seems that on 1 or more address it will try to crunch 2 e-mail addresses together. Also it seems most of the time that the same 2 users, sometimes, do not receive the e-mail. But it been seen on other users, but less frenquently.

    Example :

    Person 1 : john.doe@company.qc.ca
    Person 2 : mike.someone@company.qc.ca
    Person 3 : randy.yourname@company.qc.ca

We will SOMETIMES get in our exchange server these emails :

    john.doe@company.qc.ca
    mike.someone@company.qc.ca>oe@company.qc.ca
    randy.yourname@ company.qc.ca>hn.doe@company.qc.ca

Needless to say that the 2 later ones do not go through. As you can see, seems Sugar mixes adresses together.

Anyone had the same problem ?

    Edit for more precision
We've been told by our intergrator/hoster that the problem is coming from our Microsoft Exchange, but we feel that corrupted outgoing e-mail adresses must be the result of a faulty outgoing e-mail adress. We've been using exchange for years and never had any issues of that sort. We've talked with our ISP and they say there is nothing wrong with our MS Exchange.

Our intergrator/hoster that says the problems is with our MS Exchange and that to solve the problem we'd need to pay for further investigation on their part, but since we never had any issues in the past like this one, and it's only related to Sugar, we feel that it must be a set-up configuration or whatever coming from Sugar.

A quick answer would be appreciated, for this is an issue that is troublesome.

    Thank you

    Default Re: E-Mail Problems

I don't have any direct input on things to try, but did want to share a tidbit..

I've actually seen this very problem with the email client in GoldMine (another CRM package). I've never looked into it, but up until I saw your message, I had attributed it to an oddity in GoldMine.

It seems that may not necessarily be the case.

Now, that being said, troubleshooting email problems in Sugar is not something I wish upon anyone as it tends to be a difficult and frustrating experience. About the only resource available to you would be the Debug log option.

Seeing that GoldMine exhibits a similar problem, it may not necessarily be a Sugar thing per se. It might be something specific about IMAP conversations with Exchange. Note that in the GoldMine scenario, it is connected to a hosted instance of Exchange. I don't know if that is also true for your scenario, but at least something for comparing notes.
    Regards,
