Question edit and detail view problems

    Hi All,

i have a weird problems here.

The first one is, i made some changes on the contact layout (edit view) using Studio. How come this changes also affects detail view? How to prevent it from happening.

The second problem is, after the changes, i save and publish the edit view. Then i go to view a contact, the layout shows the latest layout, when i click on edit, the layout shown is the one before modification.

    Any clues?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,

After publishing, you can see the new layout in \custom\working\modules\Contacts\EditView.html and in \modules\Contacts\EditView.html directories. If in these directories the files are not updated at the good time, it's because the publishing don't work. Maybe you don't have right to write.

<SOAPBOX>Again, if you do not let us know anything about your setup, as it explains on the top of the screen where you enter messages, our ability to help you is VERY limited</SOAPBOX>

Howeven in this case I am going to make a guess, you are running SugarCRM in IIS and you are running PHP in CGI mode instead of ISAPI mode as it requires. Please let me know if this is close, if not I will hand in my karnak hat and my 25 year old references.
