Hi,
I have created a module based on the Company template. I went in and modified the Type dropdown list to remove most of the items and add a few of my own. The adds took but I cannot get the deletes to take when I deploy the module...
Any ideas?

Which version of Sugar are you using?

I am testing to see if this is a file permissions issue...
OK. I set all the file permissions to 755. Still a problem.
Here's what is happening:
1) I am going to the type field (remember, this was based on the Company template) list
2) The list behind is called su_supplier_dom (don't know if that matters)
3) I am removing all the options I do not want
4) When I save, it yells at me that if anyone is using any of those values it will not be a good thing.
5) I click OK.
6) It *seems* to be saving.
7) I do back into the drop down editor and all those options are still there.
I am beginning to thing Bug which would not be a good thing because I am under the gun...
Is there a way I can modify this manually? Which files would I have to change?
Hello,
Answer to your last question is, custom/include/language/<your_language>.lang.php
If english, en_us.lang.php
Search for the dom and remove the unwanted options.

When I do this, though, and I redeploy module won't I lose that? Shouldn't there be a way to change the module so the deploy works right?
It should read the file in custom/include/language and preserve your changes. However, the fact it is giving you grief when you edit it through normal means may indicate you will have problems with other areas. It certainly sounds like a permissions issue.
