Unhappy Edit Leads List View, Leads Dissapeared!

Ok, I recently upgraded from 4.2x to 4.5.0h to 4.5.1. I have experienced problem after problem with custom fields and the Studio. Here they are:

I did something that somehow deleted all the data in a custom field by setting it to NULL in the database. I believe I clicked "Repair Custom Fields" and continued down some path and all of the sudden all of the data in the custom fields have been replaced with NULL.

I want to add this custom field to the "Lead List View" so I opened the List View Editor and dragged the custom field into the "Default" column. The odd thing was that it didn't have a label, just the name of the field in the database. When I saved the changes and clicked "leads" to get the list view, the newly added field had an error in the Label (in the bar at the top that lists what each column contains). So I checked the field by navigating to the Custom Field Editor to see if something had happened that deleted the Label, but as far as I could tell, it was there. So since all the data in this field had been previously erased, I decided to just delete it and create a new one.

Then I made the changes to the Lead List view so that the new field is displayed as part of the info in the view and now NO leads show up! It displays 0-0 of 0. I checked the database and my Leads table still contains all the data. Additionally, the Leads assigned to me show up on my Home Page and I can click on them and edit them. Nobody shows up in the "Lead List" on the lead tab. I've tried taking the custom field out of the Default column but still nothing shows up in the List View.

I know this is long winded, but I dont know how else to describe what is happening. It is very frustrating.

    Here are my specs:
Sugar Version: Sugar SuiteVersion 4.5.1 (Build 1197)
    PHP 4.4.4
    OS Linux
    MySql 4.1.21

Any suggestions, similar stories, etc would be much appreciated!

We are having the same issue but with our custom fields within Contacts and Accounts. We clicked on the repair custom fields and all of our custom fields are now NULL. We also can not save our udpated to any custom fields created.

Any ideas on this item would be great.

The only problem I've had with leads disappearing is when there is not a match in a field for the current search. I don't have any difficulty as an administrator setting the search panel to see everything (it remembers what you were looking for the last time, so you have to clear it). If you edit dropdowns - you may leave leads in a situation where the current dropdown definition doesn't match what the lead has in the field (you have to manually change the lead to currently available search criteria from an admin login if you can't see them).

I've got another issue - In Studio, in my edit view for leads, I lost the description field somehow - it's still in the list view and detail view. Would like to restore it, but can't figure out how to get it back in the staging area on the edit view.

I'm having a similar problem - The "Assigned To:" field is available in when editing the Edit View of the Accounts tab, but not when editing the Detail View. Any luck on fixing this?
